I am a hot mess when it comes to blanket scarves. I love them, I really do. I mean, a scarf that can double as a blanket? Ingenious. I’m just incapable of actually putting them around my neck in a normal, scarf-like way. I’ve even watched how-to videos on how to style your blanket scarf, yet somehow it always looks like I’ve gone into my bedroom and thrown my duvet around my neck. It got to the point last week when I was going out with my boyfriend and threw my blanket scarf on, and the minute I stepped into the car he just touched the scarf and said: “What’s going on here…”.
So I did what any normal person would do. I went shopping. I met this Anthro baby. Mind = changed. Not only is the pattern a nice switch up from the usual plaid, but it doesn’t have that usual box shape (that I seem to struggle with) of most blanket scarves, so it falls a little bit neater and flatter.
I throw on a blanket scarf when I know the rest of my look is a little bit more subdued and the colors compliment the scarf, especially when the pattern is a bit more intricate than plaid. Nothing worse than looking like you were nearby when a Crayola factory exploded. I stick to solid sweaters, shirts, turtlenecks and denim (I’m throwing leopard in, because y’all already know it’s a neutral) when I’m looking for an easy and effortless look.
On to the jewels. I can’t neglect my amazing arm party from HM Willow. Haley, the mastermind behind these beauties, has managed to create the most perfect neutral stack that I have been wearing with everything lately! Her gorgeous jewels would make the perfect stocking stuffer for any lady!
Thanks for stopping by! xo!

Thank you so much Heidi! I haven't been able to take this scarf off!
I bought a blanket scarf a month ago and am still trying to figure out how the heck to wear it without looking like a hot mess (and I've watched videos too! haha). But I love your different and slightly more subdued version! The colors are gorgeous and I love how you styled it here.

Right? It's definitely an art I have yet to master, haha! Thank you so much sweets!
I'm the same way with blanket scarves – I had to have my sister tie mine the other day because I looked like I was about to curl up and go to sleep. Ha! PS: What do you use to curl your hair? It's so pretty! 🙂

Haha! Thats too funny! I know, they are dangerously cozy, sometimes I feel they are kinda like those airplane pillows around your neck! Thanks girl, I use a curling wand that has interchangeable sizes! I'll do a post on my hair products & all soon 🙂
Love this girl! I feel the same way with my blanket scarfs, I see all these others girls on IG looking perfect in theirs and mine just looks like a mess! Gorgeous as always!! xo
