The Universal Cardigan

Cardigan: Anthropologie, on sale! / Tee: Nordstrom / Jeans: Rag & Bone via Piperlime (other great option under $90 here) / Booties: LOFT, if sold out check back – they restock! (similar here) / Watch: Daniel Wellington c/o / Necklace: TAudrey c/o / Wrap Bracelet: Geoffrey Scott c/o

We all have those pieces in our wardrobe that we have 65 of. White tees, ripped jeans, workout jackets, we all know someone who, if we went through her closet we would find an alarming overwhelming of something. If y’all haven’t noticed, for me it’s cardigans.

It started in college, where I’d throw on my size XXL cotton tee that I picked up for free at some sporting event, leggings, flips and I thought I was good to go for class.

I. Was. Always. Wrong.

Because, when it was beautiful and 85 degrees out, inside, I could just about see my breath, it was so cold. Same goes for grocery stores [Whole Foods kills me every time], movie theaters and just about everywhere else, that you only realize after walking in and say to yourself “’s always SO cold in here”.

The other fabulous thing about cardigans is that they have the ability to dress up or add a little something something to that outfit that you just weren’t feelin’ quite a 100%. When I’m clueless on what to wear, I’ll always go back to jeans, a tee and a cardi! AND they are perfect for those unpredictable climates mentioned earlier.

Anthropologie is always my go-to for unique cardigans that will take me from season to season. This one has colors that don’t scream “I was bought during the holidays” and works anytime of the year.

Thanks for reading! xo!
