Happy Monday lovelies!
Dressing for Valentines Day is always tricky for me. For the past couple of years Armaan has done “secret reservations” at different places in NYC for us to celebrate. And while it’s romantic and sweet all wrapped into one, I’m usually left looking at my closet 15 minutes before we leave asking “so by dressy do you mean jeans and heels or legit dress?”. In which I receive the response of a blank stare. This year I flew to India early [my flight was originally for 2 weeks after the date I left] to spend Valentines Day and a few weeks with Armaan while he’s here wrapping up some work! We decided to forgo anything super fancy and spent the weekend in a bungalow on a vineyard and touring India’s wine country, Nashik.
Since I didn’t want to go too casual for the night [even thought I would have been completely content watching Vikings in PJs] I opted for a comfortable wrap maxi, loose curls and my new essential travel clutch. This maxi by Rachel Pally is my new staple for any season! It’s my second one by her, and I am convinced she has perfected the art of maxi-makin’. Not only is the fabric comparable to butter, but this baby managed to make it 48 hours in a cramped suitcase and come out wrinkle free. If only that applied for all of my other clothes that are now in a little heap of wrinkled catastrophe.
When I’m back in cooler temps I’ll be pairing this dress with a leather jacket, blanket scarf and some booties to make it more appropriate for winter months!
