This cheery little shift dress from Blush Boutique was one of my favorite looks from my trip to India! Shift dresses are one of my go-tos for brunches or nights out because they are just so easy. They have more of a relaxed structure without being boxy, and they are a dream for lanky gals like me [everything’s a bit shorter] since they pair fabulously with flats/sandals.
You know how some dresses just strictly lend themselves to heels? Shift dresses are magical in the way that they look good with both. Just be careful you get the right length for your body type; you don’t want people thinking you ran out without throwing on the bottom part of your look! They are my solution when I’m running late, have 15 minutes to get all gussied up for dinner and have Armaan pacing, asking if I’m almost ready, haha! I love the pink hue of this one, but decided to tone down the bright shade with some neutral toned accessories [brown, cognac and white].
If you’re feeling adventurous, you can even toss a pair of jeans on with it, do a half-tuck, and you’ve got yourself a tunic! I’m all about dresses that can double as tunics.
Have a fabulous weekend gals! I’m headed back to Florida on Sunday and more than a little excited to get out of this freezing East Coast weather. Also, if anyone has any tips for flying with your pup, please do share! This will be the second time I’m flying with my 8 lb ball of terror. Let’s just say she is definitely unhappy in her flying bag and wants everyone to know. We might have even had an incident of her biting someone at TSA…
