Plaid is one of those patterns that is usually strictly for one season. Plaid = fall. Fall = sweaters, blanket scarves, boots and the whole pre-cold weather attire. Being the little rule breaker that I am and just basically not ready to leave my love for plaid for one season, I was beyond thrilled to see that this season sleeve less plaid is an actual thing, and it is an actual thing that I needed to have.
I love the versatility of this one from PB & J Boutique, and it happens to be one of my favorite brands! Rails is one of those brands that just get plaid. I love companies that stick to what they have perfected and use the best quality for it. No more strange fitting plaids from Target [don’t get me wrong, I love me some Tar-jay clothing. They just don’t know how/where to put buttons on plaid]. I’d rather have one or two good plaid tops to go to, than 24 flimsy ones. When looking for Spring plaid, keep to neutral or light colors and most importantly – avoid all plaids with red hues to avoid looking like you went into your fall clothing stash.
I paired my springtime plaid with a pair of boyfriend-ish distressed denim, tons of accessories and sandals to make it Florida weather appropriate. I threw it on with my Duluth Shell bag, which has easily become my favorite cross body to date. It’s 100% made in America and each bag is handcrafted right in Minnesota! They come in great neutral shades that look chic in any season and are still appropriate for running errands or for drinks and dinner. Plus, if you’re like me and a little rough on purses, you’re in luck since they come with a lifetime guarantee!
What are some of your favorite styles that take you through every season? I’d love some ideas!
Thanks so much for reading! XO!
