I would have never thought every print I loved could be incorporated in a dress, but this dress is evidence of it. Leopard, flowers AND palm print all in one fabulous shift dress. I’ve never been much of a print or pattern girl – I stick to ones that are neutral and not exciting, but once I saw this one from Eula Ferns it had me dreaming of a Hawaiian vacation with Mai Tais and knew it’d be perfect for a summer wardrobe switch up! Plus, the sweet gals over at Eula Ferns are giving all Blonde Expeditions readers 10% off their order along with free shipping! Just use the code ‘kaitlin10‘ at checkout!
Because I’m a print commitment phobe and know some of you gals out there are too – I threw on a denim jacket to break it up, making the pattern seem less loud. For summer, spring and fall, a denim jacket [or jean jacket…#throwback y’all] is a nonnegotiable essential in my book. Throw it on with a swing or maxi dress? Perfect. Check. Throw it over a romper? No more freezing at dinner. Check. Throw it over your tee and shorts? Check. You can even get crazy and throw it on when you’re wearing jeans. Yes, double denim. You won’t look like Brittany and Justin circa 2001 at the AMAs [see here]. Just make sure your top is on the longer side, and the jeans tone are slightly different.
This denim jacket was a lifesaver last week while I was in San Francisco! 54 degrees y’all. I layered it over sweaters, maxis and a scarf I picked up last minute at World Market and had a lot of hot chocolate in attempts to stay warm. Still picked up a mean cold – but loved exploring the city!
How do you feel about jean jackets? Love it or hate it? Essential or not so much? I’d love to know!
Thanks so much for reading! XO!
