Mustard is an intimidating color. Actually, it’s an intimidating name in general in regards to thinking of wearing it. Anyone immediately think of Frenchs Classic Yellow? Side note: it’s been called ‘Oak Bluff’ a few places this season…sounds a lot better than ‘burnt yellow’, which I’ve been calling it, haha! But all names aside, I love it as a fall color and hue to wear. It gives off that great warm, falling leaves vibe and still remains cheery and bright. While it’s not as in-your-face as a normal yellow shade, it’s one of those great colors that manages to be flattering to any complexion because of it’s mellow, flattering tone.
I ordered this little frock a few months ago in anticipation for fall and was so excited that the temps dipped enough this weekend to pull it out! I love that it has a longer tunic length so it’s perfect to wear either with high riding boots and ankle booties or with jeans and flats. I’m all about dresses as tops as y’all know! Since I’m on a mustard kick, as well as a cardigan kick, I ordered this mustard duster last week and have been wearing it nonstop.
What do you think of the mustard hue? Hate it or love it?!
Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a great week! XO!
