Happy Monday friends!
Winter storm Jonas hit this us this weekend with everything it had, and let’s just say I have a love/hate relationship with this particular Jonas. Armaan and I made sure to stock up on the essentials beforehand so cabin fever wouldn’t get the best of us – wine, oven ready chocolate chip cookies, frozen pizza and melatonin chocolate [best invention in the world y’all — get it].
What we failed to think about was how our pups would feel with 2 feet of snow on the ground and what shoveling two feet of snow would be like! haha. If you follow along on Snapchat [@kaitlinkeegan], you saw that I have one dog that is half dire wolf/ half Himilayan mountain goat, who loved the blizzard and one dog that would rather be dangled over the edge of a cliff than touch the snow. But despite dog drama, it was so fun to be truly snowed in for the weekend!
This Dawn Levy coat has been one of my most grabbed items since the temperature dropped! Every year it’s a struggle to stay warm AND look relatively chic at the same time. You’re either snug as a bug in a michelin tire man puffer coat, or your freezing in a paper thing blazer/coat hybrid. I decided to go a bit more casual under this one since we were going for a movie and dinner! I stuck to my favorite palette of darker naturals for the winter, leopard included of course!
This jacket is made of a super heavy wool [that doesn’t feel heavy] that keeps you toasty but is light enough that you can wear it to an event and not feel like you’re boiling! It’s perfect for the office and any dressier occasion you might have during the cooler months. Finding a timeless chic winter coat is definitely will definitely be an investment piece that you’ll want to use for years, so look for a piece that will last and look for a company that specializes in winter wear.
Thanks so much for stopping by! Hope everyone stayed safe & warm this weekend! -XO
