It feels so good to be home! Napa and fashion week were both so much fun (and equal parts exhausting), but after the craziness and unpredictability of the past week few weeks, getting back into my routine is just what I need. As much as I love traveling, it also makes me realize how much I miss home. Especially when Armaan and the pups can’t come along with me!
Has fall hit anyone yet? The leaves are just slightly starting to turn colors on the East Coast, and I’m ready to throw myself fully into my cooler weather wardrobe. The beginning of fall can sometimes be tough though! You’re ready to dive head first into plaids, riding boots and chunky sweaters, but in 94 degrees – that’s just not happening. Keeping things neutral and light has been my solution to this!
I love incorporating investment pieces into my rotation to use in every season, and Jenni Kayne makes some of my favorites. From butter-y soft sweaters, gorgeous d’Orsay flats, to staple plaids, I can’t get enough of her new arrivals. This sweater and chic flats were perfect additions to make a super easy neutral fall look! What I like about these pieces is that you can wear them into any season. Throw on a plaid shirt underneath this sweater, and you’ve got your layers for winter. Or if you want to make it work for spring and summer, throw it on with a pair of distressed shorts and sandals!
I also have this plaid and these black booties that I can’t wait to wear this weekend – the forecast calls for 65 degrees, so you better believe I’ll be busting out alllllll the fall things.
