Loews Sapphire Falls

Volcano Bay Outfit

Happy Monday! A week or so ago, Armaan and I took a long weekend trip to Orlando, and stayed at the Loews Sapphire Falls Resort. It was such a great little getaway, so I’m super excited to share it with you and give you a review of the hotel!

Loews Sapphire Falls is located minutes away from Universal, and the newly opened water park, Volcano Bay. It was great staying there because the parks were a quick shuttle or water taxi ride away (shuttles and taxis run every 15 minutes or so) and everything else, a quick drive (or uber) away as well.

The Hotel:

This is one of the newer hotels in the Universal strip, and it is beautiful! The lobby is massive, and is full of super convenient amenities. From four restaurants, to coffee shop, to a souvenir shop – you’ll find everything you need the minute you walk in the door. If you take a short elevator trip or walk down the stairs, you’ll find yourself poolside! The area around the pool is huge, so you’ll never feel like you’re fighting to find a spot. There are a ton of great spots just to relax, or if you’re feeling more adventurous, you can head over to the slide! It’s also open pretty late, so if you want to take a quick evening dip after a long day in the parks, you’ll be in luck.

We also had the opportunity to attend the Caribbean Carnaval, which is a fun outdoor show the hotel puts on! Full of live music, dancing and tons of wonderful Caribbean fare.

The rooms were a perfect size for two! They were brand new and very comfortable. I have to admit, we didn’t spend much time in the rooms since we were a the parks the entire day! We did order room service one night, and it arrived SUPER quick and was delicious.

Universal Studios and Volcano Bay:

If you’ve followed along for a while, you know Armaan and I love theme parks! We try to do Disney World and Universal a few times a year, and always have so much fun. Universal is one of my absolute favorites because I am a huge Harry Potter buff! Like, quoting the movies while I walk through and sip my butter beer kind of buff. We did two days at Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure and did a half day at the newly opened Volcano Bay! One thing I cannot recommend enough – get there EARLY. We arrived at 11 and the park was already at full capacity for the day and not taking any non resort guests. Another perk to staying on property is that even if Volcano Bay is at full capacity – you can still go! You’re give a ‘watch’ as soon as you walk in that allows you to schedule the water rides you want to do. The rides book up quickly so try and do the ones in the volcano first. We ended up only doing a few rides because of the waits! For the rest of the time we planted ourselves at the wave pool and lazy river and enjoyed ourselves there!

We’re already planning our next trip to Orlando since we had such a blast! Anyone else love theme parks?!

Thanks so much to Loews Sapphire Falls for hosting our stay!
